Publishing
Apps aren't visible to end users until they're published. Publishing deploys your latest changes and makes the live version available.
Publishing from the builder
Use the Publish button in the builder to deploy your workspace. You can also toggle an individual app Live (and Stop it again) directly from the builder toolbar.
| Control | Result |
|---|---|
| Publish | Deploys your changes so they're available to end users. |
| Live toggle | Makes the app available, or takes it offline. |
| View live app | Opens the published version in a new tab. |
Preview vs live
- Preview shows your work-in-progress as an end user would experience it, without publishing. Use it to test before going live.
- Live is the published version your end users actually access.
Changes you make in the builder don't reach end users until you publish again.
Who can see a published app
Once live, an app is accessible according to its roles. End users only see the screens and data their role permits, and only the apps they've been granted access to appear in their portal.
Sharing the app
Share the app's live URL with your end users, or have them sign in to the portal where the apps they can access are listed. Manage who has access from the Users section.
